Write five pairs of sentences that meet the following specifications:
1a entails 1b.
2a and 2b are contrary.
3a and 3b are contradictory.
4a and 4b are paraphrases.
5a and 5b are independent.
Do not reuse sentences from the textbook or our slides. (This writing assignment doesn’t need to meet the 300 word minimum.)

Identify two pairs of expressions that have the same denotation, but different expressive meanings, like we saw in the last exercise together. For each of these, explain their sense, denotation, and expressive meanings, making clear what they share and where they diverge. Should be 300 words. Email it to me as a .pdf or .docx before the start of class on September 23rd.
